Sr. Manager of Service & Network Operations

Great Plains Communications is looking for a high-energy, service-focused individual to lead the daily operations and support of our growing Service and Network Operations teams in Blair, Nebraska.  This position supports internal and external customer networks, ensuring company services are being provisioned, monitored, and supported to the highest standards.

Successful candidate must have knowledge of telecommunications networks and systems, including a balanced working knowledge of each of the following areas:

  • Systems Engineering (servers, software, applications, APIs)
  • Network Engineering (routing, switching, transport, access)
  • Network Monitoring (SNMP, WMI, Netflow, Logging, etc.)

Other position requirements include excellent skills with customer relations, project management, budgeting, analytical problem-solving, employee development, and written and verbal communication.  Must be able to work non-standard business hours and be on call as necessary.  Five or more years of experience is desired.
